Celebrating Ms. Jasmine Mehta's Achievement on International Women's Day

It's always inspiring to see women leaders being recognized for their achievements. Indian Women in International Relations Forum is delighted to share Ms. Jasmine Mehta's success on International Women's Day.

This year on International Women's Day, our very own, Ms. Jasmine Mehta featured in an article published in the Business Standard, where she shared insights on her inspiring journey as a woman leader. We're proud to have her as part of our team and want to share her story with you and celebrate her achievements.

In the geo-political and international remit, Jasmine chairs the Indian Women in International relations network. She is a permanent mentor at the Global Policy, Diplomacy and Sustainability fellowship program. Having specialised in Climate Diplomacy and Policy Action, along with a strategic interest in the QUAD, Jasmine often complements her speaking engagements with position papers.

In the corporate remit, she is currently the Vice President, ESG & Climate Corporate Sales – EMEA at MSCI Inc. She is responsible for developing MSCI’s ESG & Climate business with a new client segment - corporate issuers - in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). She informs product development and management with sustainable solutions and go to market strategies.

Prior to this, she led MSCI’ ESG Issuer Relations in EMEAI and she engaged with corporates rated and researched by MSCI to educate them on their MSCI ESG assessments, raise standards for sustainability disclosures, and explain how investors use ESG criteria in investment decision making. Jasmine was MSCI’s global ambassador in the corporate community through various speaking engagements and board-level educational programs. Her erstwhile responsibilities were as ESG Marketing Lead for APAC and global execution of ESG marketing strategies, at MSCI.

Based in London, she holds a Master’s degree in International Strategy and Diplomacy from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a Master’s degree in Capital Markets, Regulation and Compliance from the ICMA Centre, University of Reading UK.

The article highlights the insights shared by aspiring and influential women who have been breaking barriers and achieving success in their respective fields in this era of women empowerment.

Jasmine has been committed to advancing the sustainability and climate agenda with various stakeholders, including governments, corporations, and investors alike, to bridge sustainability financing and climate funding gaps. She has been wearing various hats at MSCI, across different continents, leading many ESG and climate functions, and more recently driving the commercial strategy for corporations and advisors in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Given her background in finance, ESG, and international relations, she actively mentors a wide array of professionals globally on emerging issues entailing climate diplomacy and how that plugs into policy decision-making. Her objective to educate and empower youth and women to own a purposeful journey has been well received by her mentees.

In today’s modern era, women have become more empowering than what we witnessed many years ago. Their aspirations and determination to achieve their ambitions, fulfilling their roles is what makes for the world to celebrate them and regard them equal to men in all walks of life.

We would once again like to congratulate Ms. Jasmine Mehta on her feature and thank her for being an inspiration to other women in the organization. It is always delightful and inspiring to read, learn and get inspired by women who have achieved great heights and international Women’s Day calls for a special mention to creating a more inclusive and equal workplace.
